Doctor Witkowski attended the Pennsylvania State University and received his MD degree from Hahnemann Medical College. Following training at Kings County Hospital, Brooklyn, New York and the University of Pennsylvania, he practiced dermatology in Philadelphia for many years. He is Emeritusl Professor of Dermatology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and has served as Professor of Dermatology at the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine, now a part of Temple University.

Doctor Witkowsksi has an interest in acne, decubitus ulcers, and cutaneous afflictions of the feet and legs.
