Dr. Kibbi is a graduate of the American University of Beirut (AUB) - School of Medicine and completed his dermatology training at the Department of Dermatology of AUB Medical Center in Beirut, Lebanon and his fellowship training in ermatopathology and laser pathology at the Massachusetts General Hospital - Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA. He is currently Professor and Chair, as well as Program Director, of Dermatology at AUB and maintains a private practice at its medical center.

In addition to membership in the American Academy of Dermatology, International Society of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatopathology, and the Lebanese Society of Dermatology, he is an honorary member of the German Dermatological Society and a member of the Board of Directors of the International League of Dermatological Societies. He has more than 120 publications, and his interests include clinical and laser dermatology, dermatopathology, and gender dermatology.
