Doctor Humphreys received her undergraduate degree from Harvard University and earned her medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania. She completed both her internship and resident in dermatology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She then took a fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and cutaneous oncology at Methodist Hospital, Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.

She is currently the Director of Cutaneous Surgery and Program for Lasers and Cosmetic Dermatology at the Thomas Jefferson University Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Biology. She is a Fellow of the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, and a Diplomate of the American Academy of Dermatology. In addition to publishing many articles on skin cancer, Mohs micrographic surgery, and aesthetic reconstruction, she has served on the editorial review board of several journals including the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, Dermatologic Surgery, and Cosmetic Dermatology.
