Roderick James Hay, who is Chairman of the International Foundation for Dermatology, is Consultant Dermatologist, Kings College Hospital, London, United Kingdom and an honorary professor in the Clinical Research Unit, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. He is Emeritus Professor of Dermatology, Queens University Belfast ( QUB), Northern Ireland. where he was Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, QUB.

Previously, Professor Hay had served as Dean and Clinical Director of the St. John's Institute of Dermatology, London. He is former President of the British Association of Dermatologists and the European Confederation of Medical Mycology, as well as a Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences. His academic and clinical interests include infectious skin disease, mycoses, and tropical public health.
