Dr. Gold is the founder of Gold Skin Care Center, Advanced Aesthetics Medical Spa. The Laser and Rejuvenation Center, and Tennessee Clinical Research Center, located in Nashville, Tennessee. He is also Clinical Assistant Professor at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and School of Nursing. His list of publications includes over 200 published scientific contributions, 10 textbook chapters, and several textbooks on photodynamic therapy that he has edited.

Dr. Gold speaks nationally and internationally, focusing on dermatology issues related to lasers and cosmetic dermatologic surgery. He is an active member of many of the leading dermatology and laser specialty societies and actively participates in meetings worldwide. Dr. Gold is the Vice President of the International Society of Dermatologic Surgery, as well as the Treasurer of the American Society of Photodynamic Therapy and President of the Tennessee Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery.
