Noah Craft MD, PhD, DTMH

Noah Craft is an assistant professor of medicine at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, California and the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He is the Associate Program Director for Dermatology at Harbor-UCLA. Dr. Craft received his ScB in Biology from Brown University. Then, at UCLA, he completed his MD, a PhD in Molecular Biology, his dermatology residency, and his postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics. He completed the Diploma of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. His current research interests include therapeutic vaccines and immunotherapy for melanoma, vaccines and immunotherapy for leishmaniasis, antimicrobial peptides, and transcutaneous drug and vaccine delivery technologies. This research includes clinical trials in patients with melanoma, metagenomic studies in patients with leishmaniasis, and clinical intervention studies of diagnostic error. His research also includes translational studies using animal models of leishmaniasis, melanoma, and candidal sepsis. His clinical interests include tropical and international dermatology, teledermatology, and computerized diagnostic decision support systems to improve medical education, reduce diagnostic error and improve access to specialty care in underserved areas. Internationally, he has ongoing educational or research collaborations in Mozambique, Brazil, and Colombia.
