Dr. Henry Chan is Honorary Clinical Associate Professor of The University of Hong Kong and The Chinese University of Hong Kong; Visiting Associate Professor of Dermatology and Visiting Scientist at Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA; and Visiting Professor of Dermatology at Fudan University in China. He is the Chairman of the Hong Kong Society of Dermatology and Venereology (2003 - 2005, 2007 - 2009) and Secretary General of the Asian Dermatological Association (1999 - present). He maintains a private practice of dermatology in Hong Kong.

Dr. Chan has headed the academic division of both The University of Hong Kong (Associate Professor 2000 - 2004) and The Chinese University of Hong Kong (Associate Professor 1998 - 2000) and since 1997; he has been the Honorary Consultant Dermatologist of Hong Kong Hospital Authority. He has published over 200 articles including 1 book, 21 book chapters. and 104 peer reviewed, internationally indexed publications (mean impact factor 2.43).
